My dealings with good and evil – an intricate affair of duality

The duality between good and evil has always been a juicy subject and therefore a common dichotomy. Religion, philosophy, psychology, ethics, they all addressed it in various ways and they attributed to it numerous interpretations.

Good is up and running as much as evil is. In me, in you and in every human being.

I am good and I am evil, I do good and I do evil and this is what makes me human.

We need good as much as we need evil, no matter how silly or crazy it sounds.

The duality between good and evil does not stand in the way of my personal development, but it rather works in my favor.

I choose to use this duality as a thriving factor for my personal growth. Sometimes, I see good in me and it makes me happy and sometimes I see evil and I question myself in order to know me better, to see how can I improve myself, to see where does it come from and how it impacts my actions.

I use it as a tool for knowing me better. I see good in my child, I see good in people around me and I see evil in them in some of the days.

It’s a matter of constant duality, it all resumes at co-habitation and tolerance.

I am no God to speak about the prevalence of one against the other, I am no judge to be moral about it.

I think we need them both, we wouldn’t perceive evil but in opposition to good, we wouldn’t be able to see the light, but in opposition to the dark. Sun and the Moon, black and white, the duality is what makes them coexist and contrast is what makes them attract.

Good and evil keep us alive in moments where we need power. We find our inner strength in this duality and we nourish it in order to thrive.

As a personal remark, yes, I totally choose good and I would totally vote in favor of good. But sometimes I see the need of dealing with some evil for me to be choosing good.

Therefore, I choose to be good, to act good and to educate good in me, in my kid, in my family and in all my relationships. I see evil, I notice its twists and turns and I move forward to my good. I don’t take too much time in dealing with evil.

Time is too precious to give it to evil. I prefer giving my time to good.

Duality is a constant theme in my life, mos probably because I am born on the Gemini-Cancer cusp, but especially this duality has helped me to better understand people’s behaviour, reactions and to discern into what to choose for my life. I choose good, but I am human and to get here, I met some evil on my road, too.

Good and evil entanglement is immortal. Good and evil intricacy is omnipresent.

It’s our choice that makes the difference, it’s our approach that defines our development. How we perceive it, how we speak about it, how it makes us feel, how much time we give to each one, this is what defines us in our lives.

To say we are good or to say we are evil is as useful as expecting to see flying pigs.

Our everyday choices, our small steps, our words, our relationships, this is what makes us good or evil.

Each moment leads us to being good or evil in that very moment.

Each moment leads us to a different outcome, depending on our choice.

I choose to be present, to stay magical and to open myself to life’s miracles.
I choose good.
What about you?
